The design director for House Of Fraser specifically sought me out to create a range of embroidered patches for one of our bestselling brands, Biba. This was to sit with the rest of the range and to be sold individually for product customisation. I used lurex threads, colours and base colours to create exciting badges in the Biba identity. I individually hand crafted my designs using a combination of painting and ink sketches, which I then translated into Photoshop and Illustrator so I could manipulate and enhance the designs digitally. I communicated regularly with the suppliers for this job and briefed the final designs to China for manufacturing. I also created a range of jersey designs based on these embroidered patches to be printed on tees and jersey dresses. These were pigment & foil printed, and I was responsible for briefing the supplier.
